The Wildcats are 5-5 and need to win one of the next two games to become bowl eligible for our record 5th year in a row. This game is critical to our roller coaster season.
The Golden Gophers of the University of Minnesota (2-8) are visiting this weekend and you can expect another cardiac classic. In the last twelve meetings with UMinn, seven of the games have been decided by a touchdown or less. (Fortunately, we're 6-1 in those games. Unfortunately, we're 1-4 in the others...) But past records don't matter on Saturday. Just ask any Minnesota fan - they were one of the most dominant teams in football for generations. Or ask any NU fan about our team pre-1995. Hopefully, we'll be relaxed in our seats by the 4th Quarter and this game will be a comfortable W for the 'Cats.
Come out and join the Northwestern crowd of Charlottesville. Wear purple.
